CCR REBAT - UK's most transparent and cost effective Battery Compliance Scheme
CCR REBAT is one of the largest battery take back systems in Europe and has an outstanding international experience. In 2008 more than 60,000 tons of waste batteries were collected in 13 countries of the European Union and returned to the industry.
Thereby, the statutory collection rates were always outreached, in some countries even by far. Meanwhile way more than 100 employers have joined CCR REBAT, among them renowned manufacturers. The logistic of CCR REBAT is already established in the UK. At more than 3,000 sources of waste generation CCR UK could collect and recycle more than 18,000 tons of starter and component batteries.
Primarily the recycling of batteries is a special service characteristic of CCR REBAT. "With our around 60 notifications in different countries we are one of the few companies which is able to transport waste batteries internationally. "That's why we can approach recyclers in different countries", explains Achim Winter, Managing Director of CCR Logistics Systems AG, Munich, Germany.
The range of services of CCR REBAT contains the equipment of the receiving offices with collecting boxes, the collection of the batteries, the recycling, the reporting as well as the documentation of the services to wards authorities.
